This certificate has been issued under the proviso that the Manolo Blahnik: The Archives Website (together with The Craft Room) is currently being remediated to become more inclusive. Please see the list of Known Accessibility Issues to see the progress in this endeavour.

Certification

To achieve certification each website undergoes a manual technical compliance review against WCAG 2.1 to level AA.

The website underwent both a technical compliance audit and robust end to end testing by users with a wide range of disabilities including blind, low vision, dyslexia, colour blindness, mobility, learning difficulties, Deaf, Asperger and anxiety and panic disorder.

All testing is carried out in line with relevant platform specific guidelines, and where applicable, also conforms to Section 508 of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)

List of issues

High Priority WCAG Level A

  • Some of the dialogs are not modal and allow the user to navigate away from popup.
  • When the Cookies dialog is open on the homepage, the animated background cannot be paused, stopped, or hidden.

Medium Priority WCAG Level AA

  • On the Homepage, sometimes the Contrast between the text and the animated background may not be enough for some users to see. Images of text were used in place of text to convey information. The buttons and links at the bottom of the page have no visible focus indicators
  • The text of the Cookie Popup buttons, when hovered over, may not be visible for some users.
  • Some text seen were just images of text. This may be considered an exception as it is actual handwriting.
  • Some content was Obscured with browser Zoom
  • On the homepage, some actionable elements do not have a visible focus indicator.
